Women in Sleep 2026 | May 15-16, 2026 | Austin, TX
The Women in Sleep Congress 2026 is a two-day live educational event dedicated to improving the recognition, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders in female patients. The program explores how sleep disorders present differently in women across key life stages, including adolescence, pregnancy, perimenopause, and post-menopause.
Through expert-led presentations, panel discussions, and real-world case studies, the congress will translate evidence into practical clinical strategies that can be applied immediately in practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
Interpret the effects of hormonal transitions across the female lifespan on sleep architecture, circadian rhythm, and disorder presentation to improve clinical recognition and treatment planning.
Evaluate gender-specific considerations in the pharmacologic treatment of sleep disorders, including metabolic, hormonal, and reproductive factors that impact safety and efficacy in female patients.
Apply age- and gender-informed diagnostic strategies to improve identification and early intervention for sleep disorders in adolescent girls and young women.
Develop structured clinical strategies to evaluate and manage sleep disturbances in perimenopausal and menopausal women, with balanced consideration of hormonal and non-hormonal treatment pathways.
Identify and address gender-specific presentation patterns of sleep-disordered breathing in women to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment uptake.
